Police seek suspect after woman robbed near Marquette University campus

MILWAUKEE -- Marquette University police are seeking the suspect responsible for a robbery that occurred Monday evening, June 8th in the 2300 block of West Michigan Avenue.It happened around 7:00 p.m.Police say a male suspect approached a female who is not affiliated with Marquette University and demanded property.The victim gave up her property and sustained minor injuries for which she declined treatment.The suspect fled west on Michigan Avenue on foot.The Milwaukee Police Department and Marquette University Police Department are investigating the incident.Marquette police say the suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 years old.
