Driver dies after vehicle strikes tree, catches fire in Waukesha County

WAUKESHA -- One person is dead following a crash and vehicle fire early Wednesday morning, December 20th in Waukesha County.Crews responded to a call of a vehicle fire on Ryan Road, north of Bayberry Drive in the Town of Lisbon around 2:20 a.m.The first arriving deputy found a car fully engulfed against a tree off the west side of the road.

Man accused of stealing more than $700 worth of alcohol from Brookfield Pick 'N Save

BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield police are asking for the public's help to identify a man who is accused of stealing nearly $800 worth of alcohol from the Pick 'N save store on Greenfield Avenue.According to police, the theft happened just after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8th.Police say the suspect left the store with a shopping cart containing $781.97 worth of various alcohol without paying.

Brookfield police seek well-dressed thief accused of stealing $2,200 suit coat

BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield police are looking for a well-dressed thief accused of stealing an expensive suit coat.It happened Monday, December 11th at Richard Bennett Tailor, inside Brookfield Square Mall.According to police, shortly before 2:30 p.m., a white male suspect entered the store, and after about 25 minutes, he selected a suit coat, rolled it up and concealed it in a shopping bag.The suit coat is described as a Ravazzolo brand with a Houndstooth pattern in charcoal gray.

Brookfield police seek suspect accused of stealing merchandise from Stein Mart

BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield police are seeking a suspect accused of stealing more than $200 worth of merchandise from Stein Mart.It happened on November 14th around 4:00 p.m. at the store on Bluemound near Calhoun.According to police, the suspect, inside the store, concealed the six "fragment items" totaling $209.94 and left the store without paying.Staff members at Stein Mart indicated they believe the suspect has committed several retail thefts at this store since March.

Police look to identify woman who stole $550 worth of UGG boots from Brookfield Square

BROOKFIELD -- Police are asking for the public's help to identify a woman who stole over $500 worth of merchandise from the Boston Store at Brookfield Square on Saturday, December 9th.According to Brookfield police, the theft happened just before 3:00 p.m.Police say the the woman ran from the store with $550 worth of items, including three pairs of UGG boots.
