Sheriff's officials identify 18-year-old man fatally shot in Town of Lisbon

LISBON -- Officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department on Thursday, Oct. 18 identified an 18-year-old man fatally shot in the Town of Lisbon Wednesday morning as Austin McGuire.It happened around 10:30 a.m. at a home near Maple and Northview.Sheriff's officials said deputies responded and found McGuire on the floor in the kitchen, in need of immediate medical attention, after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.

62-year-old Mukwonago woman pronounced dead at scene of crash on I-43

NEW BERLIN -- A 62-year-old Mukwonago woman died in a crash on I-43 northbound in New Berlin Wednesday, Oct. 17.It happened just after 2 p.m. near Moorland Road and involved four vehicles.Waukesha County sheriff's officials, New Berlin police, the New Berlin Fire Department and Wisconsin State Patrol responded.No one else was hurt.I-43 northbound was closed for several hours as a result of the crash.

Caught on camera: Suspects sought after stealing $251 in groceries from Woodman's

MENOMONEE FALLS -- Police are investigating  retail theft at the Menomonee Falls Woodman's Food Market that happened on Sunday, Oct. 14.Officials say the two suspects, a male (possibly Hispanic) and a female (white) were in the store around 4:40 p.m. and scanned $251.17 of grocery items at a self-checkout.

Charges filed after firearm recovered when Waukesha police responded to report of fight

WAUKESHA -- An arrest was made and a firearm recovered after police responded to a report of a fight near Main and Pleasant in Waukesha.Police were called out around 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7 after multiple 911 calls came in regarding an individual involved in the fight that was on Main Street with what police said was an assault rifle, threatening people as he looked for the person he had been fighting with.

Murder-suicide: Police ID men ages, 54, 33, found dead in Waukesha home

WAUKESHA -- Waukesha police on Wednesday, Oct. 3 identified two men found dead in a home on Albany Court near University Drive in Waukesha on Tuesday afternoon -- and called this a murder-suicide.The two men involved in this incident have been identified as Alan Skarzynski, 54, and Dustin Congleton, 33.According to police, officers responded around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after an individual indicated they had not seen their neighbor for three days, and the man's work truck was parked with expensive tools in the back.

3 years probation for woman accused in connection with 3 vehicle theft incidents

NEW BERLIN -- A New Berlin woman accused of stealing or attempting to steal vehicles in three separate incidents to support a heroin addiction has been sentenced to probation.Katarina Panagiotopoulos, 23, on Thursday, Sept. 27 pleaded guilty to one felony and one misdemeanor: attempted taking, driving a vehicle without consent and entry into locked vehicle.She was then sentenced to serve 18 months in prison and 18 months extended supervision on the first charge -- which was stayed.

$5K reward: ATF again asks for help after explosions in New Berlin

NEW BERLIN -- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), in conjunction with the New Berlin Police Department, continues to urge the public to report information related to the explosions on the afternoon of Sept. 17 near Coffee and Woelfel in New Berlin.According to a news release Monday, Sept. 24 from the ATF, investigators are looking specifically for information related to individuals who may have been operating a vehicle on Sept. 17, around 4 p.m. in the area where the explosion happened.

Men. Falls police search for suspect who ran off with iPhone X from T-Mobile store

MENOMONEE FALLS -- Police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect accused of stealing an iPhone X (iPhone 10) from a T-Mobile store in Menomonee Falls.According to police, the suspect was "overly friendly" with store employees  and asked to open a prepay account with the iPhone.Police say when an employee set the phone down on the counter, the suspect grabbed it and ran from the store.The suspect appears to be a male, black, with a beard.
