We Energies: Gas service line struck near 15th and Lincoln, some evacuations took place

MILWAUKEE -- We Energies officials said customers were able to get back into their homes on Wednesday evening, Nov. 21 after a construction crew doing work near 15th and Lincoln struck a gas service line.The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. We Energies crews on the scene were able to identify the spot where the gas was leaking -- and gas was shut off.Crews were then doing the necessary repairs -- and were in the neighborhood to assist residents once service was fully restored.

Man seriously injured after being stabbed multiple times, run over by car

MILWAUKEE — A 20-year-old man sustained serious injuries after being stabbed multiple times and run over by a vehicle in Milwaukee.

Man shot, wounded after argument near Melvina and Fond du Lac

MILWAUKEE -- A 32-year-old man was shot near Melvina Street and Fond du Lac Avenue on Saturday night, Nov. 18.According to Milwaukee police, the man was involved in argument with a group of suspects around 8:20 p.m.During the incident, one of the suspects grabbed a gun and shot the man.The victim was treated on scene by the Milwaukee Fire Department and sent to a nearby hospital.

New ordinance requires smoke detectors with non-renewable 10-year batteries

Infant not breathing brought into Milwaukee Fire Station 30 and has died

Firefighters rescue residents hanging out of windows in east side apartment fire
