Kenosha Unified: Counselors available for those in need of support in wake of student's death

KENOSHA -- The Kenosha Unified School District announced on Thursday, July 27th that it will have counselors on hand for students who may need additional support in the wake of 17-year-old Olivia Mackay's death.A Facebook post (below) indicates the counselors will be available from 7:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27th and Friday, July 28th at Indian Trail High School and Academy.Mackay's body was found along Louis Sorenson Road in the Village of Mount Pleasant on Monday, July 24th.

Hearing set as attorneys work to get 15-year-old accused of fatally stabbing classmate moved to juvenile court

KENOSHA COUNTY -- 15-year-old Timothy Carson, accused of stabbing a classmate to death at Bradford High School was in court Thursday, July 20th for his preliminary hearing.Carson has been charged as an adult for the death of Dezjon Taylor, who died after he was stabbed in the heart on April 25th.Probable cause was found for further proceedings in this case, and Carson was bound over for trial.

Vehicle found partially submerged in pond in Kenosha, no one injured

KENOSHA --  Kenosha police are investigating after a vehicle was found partially submerged in a pond early Tuesday morning, July 4th.It happened near the Hampton Inn  -- located in the area of 75th Street and 125th Avenue.Police responded to the scene around 6:15 a.m. after receiving a call from a Hampton Inn employee regarding the partially submerged vehicle.When police arrived on scene, they found the front end of a car immersed in water.

24-year-old man suffers life-threatening injuries following shooting in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- A 24-year-old man was shot during a multi-vehicle crash that stemmed from an altercation involving two groups in Kenosha Thursday, June 29th.Kenosha police say the shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of 14th Avenue.Officials say two groups of males were involved in an argument which escalated into a physical fight.

Police identify victims of murder-suicide in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- Police identified on Thursday, June 8th the victims of a double fatal shooting in Kenosha.The victims are 23-year-old Brian Baldwin of Kenosha and 23-year-old Anthony Kerrill of Waukegan, Illinois.
