50 years in prison for man convicted in murder of the mother of his child

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee man convicted in the murder of the mother of his child has been sentenced to prison.Hakeem Tucker, 20, was convicted in September on four counts: one count of first degree reckless homicide, use of a dangerous weapon, one count of first degree reckless injury, use of a dangerous weapon and two counts of felon in possession of a firearm.In court on Friday, Nov. 9, Tucker was sentenced to serve 35 years in prison and 10 years extended supervision on the reckless homicide charge and 15 years in prison and 10 years extended supervision on the reckless injury charge, to be served consecutively, for a total of 50 years in prison and 20 years extended supervision.He was sentenced to serve five years in prison and five years extended supervision on each of the felon in possession of a firearm charges -- to be served concurrently to the sentences above and to each other.So in all, Tucker will serve 50 years in prison and 20 years extended supervision.He was also ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution.Tucker was convicted in the murder of Stephanie Jones, shot and killed on Jan. 3, 2017 at a home near 41st and North.

Fiber issue causes 911 outage for Charter subscribers south of Forest Home Avenue

Pizza delivery driver carjacked in Riverwest
