Developing: Body of Hayward man found in wooded area of Franklin

FRANKLIN -- Franklin police and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office were called out to the area near S. 27th Street and College Avenue -- where a body was found on Tuesday afternoon, November 10th.The body was found in a wooded area north of the Home Depot store in the area -- and behind a mobile home court on the west side of S. 27th Street.Police say the body is identified as a 54-year-old man from Hayward.

Bank robbed: Police seek suspect after incident at Franklin branch of WaterStone Bank

FRANKLIN -- Franklin police are investigating a robbery at the WaterStone Bank branch near Highway 100 and Speedway Drive.It happened around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 29th.Police say an unknown suspect entered the bank and demanded money.The suspect fled the scene prior to officers' arrival, and police say that suspect was able to get away with an undetermined amount of cash.No one was hurt.The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office's K-9 unit assisted with a search for this suspect.The investigation is ongoing.Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates on this developing story.

Busted: 55-year-old man in custody after Franklin homeowner found burglar in his home

FRANKLIN -- Franklin police say a suspect has been taken into custody -- accused of burglarizing a home on Wednesday afternoon, September 23rd.Police say the homeowner came home shortly before 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, and found someone burglarizing his home on West Stone Hedge Drive.The suspect was described as a white male, standing 5'9 to 5'10" tall, with a heavy, muscular build.That suspect fled the scene on foot.

The vandalism occurred just days after ground was broken for this project.Officers responded to Franklin Wood Parks just before 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 6th to find vandalism to six portable toilets, two portable sinks and a portable spot light.

Franklin police: Violent home invasion involved 83-year-old victim, and no one's in custody

FRANKLIN (WITI) -- Franklin police are seeking a suspect in connection with a home invasion involving an 83-year-old victim.It happened Monday, January 26th just after 3 a.m. near 117th and Oakwood Road.Police say a male suspect, between the ages of 20 and 29 entered the 83-year-old victim's home -- demanding money, prescription medication and alcohol.

FRANKLIN (WITI) -- Franklin Fire officials on Wednesday afternoon, November 19th were called out to the scene of a trailer home fire that has displaced residents.It happened at a trailer home in the 6300 block of S. 27th Street shortly before 4:00 p.m.Upon their arrival at the scene, fire officials observed flames and smoke pouring from the trailer.

Franklin police seek to identify suspect in North Shore Bank robbery
