Grandfather says sons drove 5-year-old fatally shot in Kenosha to the hospital

KENOSHA -- A 5-year-old boy was shot and killed in Kenosha Monday, June 17.Police said it happened around 1:45 p.m.Police were initially contacted by hospital staff of Froedtert South Hospital -- Kenosha Campus on 8th Avenue near 64th Street after the child was dropped off by two people who left the hospital.

Ax attack: Man sought after assaulting employee near 35th Avenue and 59th Street in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- Kenosha police on Thursday afternoon, May 23 were on scene near 35th Avenue and 59th Street -- where a suspect fled the scene of an assault involving an ax and a shovel.Police said around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a business in the area, where a caller had reported a man with an ax and shovel entered the business and assaulted an employee before fleeing on foot.The victim suffered two lacerations to his elbow -- but refused transportation to the hospital.The ax and shovel were recovered at the scene.

3 arrests: Heroin, cocaine, marijuana, firearms recovered when 'no knock' warrant executed in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- Three arrests were made and heroin, cocaine, marijuana and firearms were recovered when members of the Kenosha Police Department's Kenosha Drug Operations Group executed a search warrant at a home in Kenosha Thursday afternoon, May 9.Police said just after 12:30 p.m., the "no knock" search warrant was served at a single-family apartment, with help from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department's Tactical Response Team and Kenosha Police Department's Gang Unit.It was an attempt to locate Nicholas Sanford Sr., who had an active felony warrant for his arrest.He and two others were taken into custody, and police said 48 grams of heroin which also tested positive for fentanyl, 4.1 grams of cocaine and 27.2 grams of marijuana were recovered, along with two handguns.Online court records showed Sanford Sr.

Drug and alcohol counselor accused of sexually assaulting ex sentenced to time served plus fine

KENOSHA -- A Racine man who was a drug and alcohol counselor when he was accused of sexually assaulting a 42-year-old woman who used to be his girlfriend was sentenced to time served and ordered to pay a fine Wednesday, April 10 after pleading guilty to three misdemeanor charges.Corie Hargrove, 49, entered the plea to one count of misdemeanor battery and two counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
