Woman struck by car on Lincoln Memorial Drive; striking driver stayed on scene

MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department said a woman was struck by a car near Bradford Beach on Tuesday afternoon, May 1.The collision happened around 2:30 p.m. Officials said the woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of her injuries.Milwaukee police said the driver of the striking vehicle stayed on the scene.An investigation is ongoing.

Milwaukee firefighters rescue driver that rolled dump truck

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee firefighters rescued a truck driver after a crash on Jones Island on Friday morning, April 27.The dump truck rolled onto its side while driving over a mound of dirt and chunks of concrete.The driver was stuck in the cab and had to be pulled out.Nobody was hurt.

Milwaukee couple accused in arson at apartment building after they were evicted sentenced to prison

MILWAUKEE -- A husband and wife have been sentenced to prison in connection with a December 2014 arson that led to several injuries at an eight-unit apartment building in Milwaukee.It happened at the building on West Eggert Place on Dec. 2, 2014.On April 12, Levita Brewer was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison and five years of supervised release.On October 11, Stepfonz Campbell was sentenced to serve seven years, eight months in prison, followed by five years supervised release.According to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office, in early December of 2014, Brewer and Campbell, who are married, traveled from Tennessee to Milwaukee, where they had lived a few months prior.

Hazmat crews respond to 9th and State for report of smell of natural gas
