Red Cross assists 21 people displaced following fire on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE -- The Red Cross is helping 21 people who were displaced after a fire near North Palmer Street and Concordia Avenue.

Officials were called to the scene shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday, June 9.

The Milwaukee Fire Department says the fire affected the first and second floor of the home.

The Red Cross is providing emergency aid, car and mental health resources for those displaced. 12 of the people displaced were children.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
