Waukesha police investigate attempted break-in at AT&T store; no arrests made

WAUKESHA -- Waukesha police are investigating an attempted break-in that occurred early Tuesday morning, March 28th at an AT&T store.Officers were dispatched to the store near Moreland and Springdale around 1:15 a.m. for an alarm.Upon arrival, they found broken glass.Police say nothing was taken from the store.No arrests have been made.

WAUKESHA -- Waukesha police are seeking two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at Aldi Foods on Arcadian Avenue on  Wednesday, March 22nd.According to police, the investigation has revealed two armed suspects entered the store shortly after 8:00 p.m., pointed the firearm at the clerk, and demanded money.

Police: 3 suspects sought for attempted theft from Hobby Lobby store

MENOMONEE FALLS -- Police are searching for three people who attempted to steal items from a Hobby Lobby store in Menomonee Falls.Police say two women and a man entered the store around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20th.At that time, one of the suspects, who was wearing a yellow coat, began to fill store bags with property and proceeded to the checkout line as if she was attempting to return the items.

Waukesha man accused of trying to steal large TVs from Walmart in New Berlin

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A 31-year-old Waukesha man is charged with felony retail theft and misdemeanor bail jumping after police say he walked out of a Walmart store with televisions he did not pay for.According to a criminal complaint, on Friday, January 13th, a male suspect was observed at the Walmart located near Greenfield and Moorland in New Berlin, pushing a cart with large Samsung televisions inside of it out of the store, without making any attempt to purchase them.The complaint state New Berlin police were already at the Walmart store for an unrelated incident.

NO charges after long night for Hartland residents: Police respond to report of man in home with gun

HARTLAND -- There was a heavy police presence overnight Saturday, March 18th in a neighborhood in Hartland.Hartland police were called out to the scene near Oxford Drive and Bradford Way around 10:00 p.m. Saturday.They responded to the area along with officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department for a report of a man inside a home with a gun.Police said this turned out to be a well-being check on a person inside the home.

1 person flown Flight for Life with serious injuries, 2 others hurt in Town of Merton crash

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Authorities in Waukesha County say Flight for Life was called to the scene of a serious crash that occurred on County Highway E (Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive) and Woodland Drive, in the Town of Merton.The crash occurred shortly before 8:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4th.According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, it was determined a 19-year-old man traveling northbound on County Highway E, lost control and struck a large tree.The 19-year-old was transported by Flight for Life with serious injuries.

Waukesha police: Box truck stolen during delivery route has been recovered

WAUKESHA -- The Waukesha Police Department announced Friday, March 3rd that the box truck that was stolen during a delivery route has been recovered.Officials say the 20-foot box truck has a custom logo for "Copper and Kings." The box has pictures of alcohol bottles which include images of "Copper and Kings" bottles.

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- No one was hurt in a fire in a home in the Town of Ottawa in Waukesha County on Tuesday morning, February 7th.It happened at a home on County Highway Z around 10:15 a.m.Multiple departments responded to the home, which was found fully engulfed in flames.Officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department said the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no injuries were sustained.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
