OCONOMOWOC -- Oconomowoc Police Chief Dave Beguhn tells FOX6 News they have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of 34-year-old Christina Schuster.Officials say Schuster was found in her apartment by her brother on Monday, September 5th.

Waukesha deputies, Pewaukee police spend time with 4-year-old boy with cancer, who wants to be an officer

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Waukesha County Sheriff's deputies and Pewaukee police officers are praying for a little boy named Eli who is battling cancer.Officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department on Thursday, September 1st posted photos to Facebook after meeting four-year-old Eli Hansen and his family.Eli wants to be a police officer when he grows up.Sheriff's officials said Eli is currently fighting for his life -- diagnosed with cancer in April.

Low-speed pursuit leads to arrest of man in domestic disturbance complaint

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A domestic disturbance in the City of Pewaukee late Sunday, August 28th led to a low-speed pursuit and eventually an arrest.Officials say around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint of a domestic disturbance in Pewaukee.

Waukesha police: 3 victims targeted by callers posing as IRS, police, demanding payment via iTunes cards

WAUKESHA -- Waukesha police are issuing a warning after receiving three reports from victims of fraud over the past few days relating to iTunes gift cards.According to police, the victims have received telephone calls from long-distance numbers, with the caller claiming to be from the IRS, or claiming to be the police, or claiming to be someone with a family member in jail, who needs bail money.The callers then ask for payment using iTunes gift cards.Waukesha police say these three victims are out hundreds of dollars.Police advise that if you receive a phone call like this, from an unknown person who claims you owe them money, don't follow through with their demands, as it is likely a scam.

Lockdown lifted at Carroll University after report of man with gun on campus

WAUKESHA -- Carroll University was placed on lockdown on Monday night, August 22nd following a report of an individual who may have had a weapon.According to Waukesha police, around 8:30 p.m., Carroll University Public Safety officials called 911 to report a suspicious person looking into windows at the Humphrey Memorial Chapel -- possibly armed with a firearm.When officers arrived on scene, the individual was found lying on the grass to the rear of the building.

57-year-old man injured after crashing motorcycle in Pewaukee

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A 57-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he crashed his motorcycle in the City of Pewaukee on Friday evening, August 19th.The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, Town of Brookfield Police Department and Pewaukee Fire Department responded to the wreck near Redford Boulevard and Capitol Drive around 8:20 p.m.The victim was taken to Froedtert Hospital via Flight for Life.No other vehicles were involved in the crash.The incident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff.

New Berlin woman arrested for OWI, battery to officer after pursuit through Germantown, Richfield

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- A New Berlin woman was arrested in her own driveway after allegedly leading authorities on a wild chase that began in Germantown early Thursday, August 11th.Around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, a deputy on patrol heard a Germantown police officer conducting a traffic stop in the area of Highway 167 and I-41 request a second squad to the scene.The deputy was nearby, and responded to the scene to assist.As the deputy was exciting his squad car, Washington County Sheriff's officials say the deputy saw the suspect vehicle flee the scene at a high rate of speed.The suspect vehicle was pursued for several miles through Germantown until the operator's driving became too dangerous to continue the pursuit.The suspect vehicle was later found in the Cabela's parking lot in Richfield.

Mukwonago man killed when his motorcycle was struck by car head-on

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Waukesha County Sheriff's officials say one person was killed in a crash involving two vehicles and two motorcycles that happened on Friday night, August 5th.The call for this incident came in around 11:30 p.m. for the crash on County Highway NN, west of Jericho Drive in Eagle.Sheriff's officials say it was reported that a vehicle headed westbound on Highway NN attempted to pass another westbound vehicle.Two motorcycles were headed eastbound when the passing vehicle struck the lead motorcycle head-on.The driver of the lead motorcycle, a 52-year-old  Mark Galluzzo of Mukwonago, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.The driver of the second motorcycle, a 46-year-old Town of Vernon man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.The driver of the striking vehicle, a 19-year-old Palmyra woman, was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.County Highway NN was closed for several hours while the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department conducted the investigation.

DELAFIELD -- Officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department say one person was killed, and one person was seriously injured in a crash that happened on I-94 west of County Highway SS in Delafield Tuesday evening, July 19th.It happened around 5:30 p.m. It was reported that a vehicle headed westbound on I-94 crossed the median into eastbound traffic and a head-on crash occurred.An investigation has revealed an 18-year-old woman from Waukesha was headed westbound when her vehicle crashed head-on into a vehicle headed eastbound -- driven by a 22-year-old Delafield woman.A 67-year-old woman, a passenger in the westbound vehicle driven by the Waukesha woman was pronounced dead at Froedtert Hospital.
