WALWORTH COUNTY -- Two people are dead and two others were taken to the hospital following a head-on crash in Walworth County on Tuesday, May 29.Walworth County Sheriff's deputies were called out the area of Highway 12/67 just south of Sterlingworth Drive in the Town of LaGrange around 4:30 p.m.Upon arrival, Walworth County Sheriff’s deputies along with fire and rescue units found two cars with severe damage.

WALWORTH COUNTY -- A Janesville man, 40, died at the hospital after a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of Highway 11/Highway 14 and Highway C/Highway M at the Walworth/Rock County line.It happened Wednesday, March 28, shortly before 9 a.m.Sheriff's officials said when deputies arrived along with fire and rescue units, two vehicles were found with severe damage at the scene.A preliminary investigation has revealed a gray 2003 Chevy van was eastbound on Highway 11/14 when it was struck in the driver’s side by a 2014 black Jeep.

Illegal strip search: Waukesha County deputy charged after retrieving marijuana from inmate at jail

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A Waukesha County sheriff's deputy is facing a misdemeanor charge, accused of conducting an illegal strip search at the Waukesha County Jail.It happened on Nov. 19, 2017 -- and the charge is misdemeanor "illegal strip search," filed against Deputy Jeffrey Haren.The victim is an inmate, who is currently 23 years old.The Walworth County Sheriff's Office led the investigation in this case.According to a criminal complaint, in December of 2017, a Walworth County sheriff's captain spoke with Deputy Haren regarding Haren's interactions with the inmate in the booking room at the Waukesha County Jail on Nov. 19, 2017 around 3 a.m.Deputy Haren stated that the inmate and two other males had been arrested and were entering the booking room when Haren smelled an odor of marijuana.

Walworth County Drug Unit arrests more than a dozen, recovers cocaine and marijuana in drug bust

WALWORTH COUNTY -- The Walworth County Drug Unit arrested more than a dozen people in connection to the distribution of cocaine and marijuana.The drug unit served six search warrants in the past ten days; three residences in the City of Delavan, two residences in the Town of Darien and the Vegas Gentlemen's Club in the Town of Darien.Recovered from the search warrants was cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, drug paraphernalia and other items used to distribute illegal drugs.The Walworth County Drug Unit was assisted during the investigations by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, DEA-Milwaukee, City of Lake Geneva Police, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Police, City of Delavan Police and the City of Whitewater Police.The following people have been arrested and are facing the noted charges:April A.

WALWORTH COUNTY -- A 24-year-old Elkhorn man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Dam Road in the Town of Sugar Creek in Walworth County.The crash happened shortly before 2:00 a.m. Thursday, December 7th.According to the Walworth County Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Jeff Myers of Elkhorn, was driving northbound on Dam Road when he lost control.

37-year-old from Lake Geneva dies following head-on crash in Walworth County

WALWORTH COUNTY -- Walworth County officials report a 37-year-old from Lake Geneva, died following a head-on crash that happened on Highway 12 near South Road -- at the Wisconsin/Illinois State line -- in the Village of Genoa City.The crash happened around 7:25 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5th.According to the Walworth County Sheriff's Office, a 2014 minivan was traveling east on Highway 12, when it crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a westbound semi tractor/trailer.Despite lifesaving efforts, the driver of the minivan, 37-year-old Allen Bates of Lake Geneva, was pronounced dead at the scene.The driver of the semi tractor/trailer, a 49-year-old from Wyoming, Michigan, was not injured in the crash.The crash remains under investigation by the Walworth County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Unit.

Witness: Man throws explosives out truck window in Walworth Co., fires gun

BLOOMFIELD -- There was a heavy police presence in Bloomfield in Walworth County Tuesday night, November 21st, which is just south of Lake Geneva.Around 5:30 p.m., the Bloomfield Police Department, assisted by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake Geneva Police Department responded to the area of County Highway H and Highway 120 for a disorderly male subject.Police say a 46-year-old man from Lake Geneva was operating a vehicle recklessly in a gravel parking lot.

WALWORTH COUNTY — The woman who is accused of breaking into a Walworth County strip club is in custody.On October 7th, video surveillance caught the 18-year-old Delavan woman at the Vegas Gentlemen’s Club located on Highway 14 in the Town of Darien.The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Delavan Police Department arrested the suspect on Thursday, October 26th.

WALWORTH COUNTY -- Two people have died following a two-vehicle, head-on crash in Walworth County on Friday, October 6th.The Walworth County Sheriff's Office was notified of a crash on Highway 12/67 near Highway ES in the Town of Sugar Creek shortly after 5:00 p.m.Upon arrival, deputies observed two pickup trucks with extensive damage in the middle of the road.The preliminary investigation shows that a silver 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup truck, driven by 24-year-old Eufemio Jimenez Ferrel of Round Lake, Illinois, was southbound on Highway 12/67.
