MILWAUKEE -- A man, 25, from Alabama, wanted for various felonies out of state was found dead in a home near 46th Street and Vliet Street in Milwaukee on Wednesday, Oct. 30.Police said officers responded around 1:30 p.m. after receiving information to indicate the man was in a home in the area.

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee mother accused of pulling a handgun on her own 16-year-old son outside Carmen High School of Science and Technology in February pleaded guilty Tuesday, Oct. 29 and was sentenced to probation.Shamika Parks entered the guilty plea to one count of possession of a firearm on the grounds of a school.Parks was then sentenced to serve 12 months in the House of Correction, which was stayed, and she was placed on probation for 24 months, with a review hearing scheduled for Feb. 7.
