TOWN OF LaGRANGE -- The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from the public with the identification of two male subjects wanted in questioning for criminal trespassing and attempted burglary.Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the Town of LaGrange on Friday, August 11th shortly before midnight for a report of a burglary in progress.

TOWN OF DARIEN -- A Janesville man died in a head-on crash with a semi in the Town of Darien on Saturday afternoon, July 29th.The Walworth County Sheriff's Office says the wreck between the two vehicles happened shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Highway 11/14 just west of Highway 89.Officials say 46-year-old Ryan Phetteplace was eastbound when he went into the westbound lane and struck a semi head on.

TOWN OF SHARON -- A 67-year-old man died after a 19-year-old driver failed to stop at a posted stop sign in the Town of Sharon in Walworth County.It happened around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 67 and Highway K.Sheriff's officials say an initial investigation revealed a vehicle headed northbound on Highway K, driven by a 19-year-old man from Sharon failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a vehicle driven by a 67-year-old Sharon woman, which was headed westbound on Highway 67, and had the right-of-way.

Walworth County Sheriff's Office: 2 juveniles in custody after pursuit ends with crash
WALWORTH COUNTY -- Two juveniles from Janesville were taken into custody early Wednesday morning, October 19th after a police pursuit leads to a crash in Rock County.Officials say the crash happened shortly before 4:00 a.m. on along Highway M near Highway KK in Johnstown Township.The pursuit began just before 3 a.m. on Hwy A near Hwy H in the Town of Sugar Creek, Walworth County after at a sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a black 2008 Nissan Versa for speeding.The Nissan’s speed was confirmed by radar at 87 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.The deputy activated emergency lights and siren and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however, the Nissan failed to stop and continued west at a high rate of speed.
