New Berlin police officer taken to the hospital after squad SUV struck by another vehicle

NEW BERLIN (WITI) -- New Berlin police say an officer had to be taken to the hospital after that officer's squad SUV was struck by another vehicle on Thursday afternoon, March 19th.It happened around 12:30 p.m. near College Avenue and Sunnyslope Road.The officer was taken to the hospital, but it is believed that officer suffered only minor injuries.The other driver involved in this incident was not hurt.The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation.

Man dies after snowmobile accident in the Town of Vernon

TOWN OF VERNON (WITI) -- The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department and Wisconsin DNR are investigating a fatal snowmobile accident that happened in the Town of Vernon.The accident happened near State Highway 164 and Cartwright Court in Vernon just before 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 7th.The victim is a 27-year-old man from the Mukwonago area.

WAUKESHA COUNTY (WITI) -- A case involving a restraining order filed against a former New Berlin West High School boys basketball coach has been dismissed.The restraining order was filed against Christopher Foley by a female co-worker who claimed Foley sent her multiple questionable text messages, and that he stalked her.Foley was fired after the was arrested for possession of marijuana.
