WAUKESHA -- A Muskego man is accused of his 10th OWI offense.51-year-old Daniel Lesniewski is facing one count of OWI, 10th and subsequent offense.According to a criminal complaint, on July 26th, around 6:30 p.m. officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department learned of a Huber inmate believed to be intoxicated.

54-year-old man killed in single-vehicle crash in Town of Ottawa in Waukesha County

TOWN OF OTTAWA -- A 54-year-old man was killed in a crash in Waukesha County early Thursday, July 20th.It happened on County Highway Z at Hardscrabble Road in the Town of Ottawa shortly before 5:00 a.m. -- and involved a single vehicle.This crash was reported by a motorist who was a passerby.The operator and sole occupant, who was from the Town of Sullivan, sustained injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.The crash remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department.

Lightning strike believed to have sparked fire at home in Town of Waukesha

WAUKESHA -- A lightning strike is believed to have caused a fire early Monday, July 10th on Wood Lilly Lane in the Town of Waukesha.It happened around 4:15 a.m. at the home on Wood Lilly Lane near Lawnsdale Road.The Waukesha County Communications Center received a call from a citizen that a house was on fire.

1 killed, 3 hurt in crash after good Samaritan stopped to help change tire on I-94 EB in Delafield

DELAFIELD -- One person was killed and three others were hurt in a crash that happened on I-94 eastbound, just west of Cushing Park Road in Delafield Saturday night, July 8th.According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, shortly after 9:00 p.m., a passing motorist pulled over to assist the occupants of a minivan that was pulled over on the shoulder of I-94 EB with a flat tire.While the tire was being changed, a vehicle headed eastbound on I-94 struck the minivan and the motorist who was assisting the occupants of the minivan.Four vehicles total were involved in the crash.A 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital.A 56-year-old woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries not believed life-threatening.An 11-year-old child was taken to Children's Hospital for treatment of injuries not believed life-threatening.The operator of the striking vehicle, a 37-year-old man, was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries not believed life-threatening.I-94 EB was closed for six hours, and I-94 WB was closed for two while this crash was investigated and crews worked the scene.The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, City of Delafield, and Village of Chenequa Police Departments, along with the City of Delafield, Town of Delafield, Lake Country, Pewaukee, Western Lakes, Stone Bank and Hartland Fire Departments.

WAUKESHA -- One of two men charged in connection with two armed robberies at two gas stations in Waukesha within a five-day period has been sentenced.29-year-old Anthony Deleon in April pleaded guilty to two counts of armed robbery as party to a crime.On July 5th, Deleon was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison and five years extended supervision on each count -- to be served concurrently.

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A 48-year-old Bayside man is facing charges after he tried to meet with who he believed was a 14-year-old girl and intended to have sex with her.48-year-old Mark Fairfield has been charged with one count of use of a computer to facilitate a sex crime.According to a criminal complaint, an officer trained as an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Investigator, responded to an ad found on Craigslist titled, "Any virgins want to experiment? - m4w." In internet terms, investigators say "m4w" means "man for woman" or "man seeking woman."The trained officer used the identity of a 14-year-old girl.Messages exchanged between the suspect, identified as Fairfield, and undercover officer include:Officer: "I'm 14 years old is that kewl?"Fairfield: "What do you look like? "Want to meet?" "What do you want me to do?"Officer: "im petite brownish hair and super pretty ;)" "I'll meet if your not a creep!!
