Horizon apartment, condo development on Underwood Avenue in Wauwatosa moving forward

WAUWATOSA -- A major development project in Wauwatosa is moving forward.City officials have announced they're working to help finance apartments and condos proposed by Horizon Development.They'll be built near the Wauwatosa Fire Department on Underwood Avenue.The development will include 32 apartments, retail space and 82 parking spaces.The city is considering tax incentives for the project, but the deal is "still under negotiation."CLICK HERE for more on this story via the Milwaukee Business Journal.

One in custody, one sought after robbery at North Shore Bank in Wauwatosa; subsequent chase

WAUWATOSA -- Wauwatosa police say one person is in custody and one person is being sought after a bank robbery and subsequent chase on Wednesday morning, June 29th.Police say this all began with the bank robbery at the North Shore Bank located near 85th and North.Two suspects, with their faces concealed, presented a gun and got away with an undisclosed amount of money shortly before 9:30 a.m.Police were able to make contact with the suspect vehicle at 49th and Congress, with help from Milwaukee police, and one person was taken into custody.
