BROWN DEER -- Brown Deer police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred near 45th and Bradley on Thursday, June 23rd.Police say an elderly woman was approached by an armed suspect around 5:30 p.m. The suspect pointed a handgun at her, threatened to harm her and demanded her purse.The suspect then grabbed the purse and fled the scene in a smaller dark blue-colored, four-door vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Cobalt -- driven by another suspect.

Three teens arrested after pursuit by Brown Deer police, other agencies

BROWN DEER -- Three teens were arrested and another three are on the run after an incident with Brown Deer police on Friday evening, June 17th.Officers were dispatched to Fairy Chasm Park around 7:00 p.m. for a report of multiple subjects in a vehicle waving around a gun.

Brown Deer police officers, DPW crews work to rescue group of ducklings from storm sewer

Five people hurt after car crashes at Sherman & Teutonia in Brown Deer

BROWN DEER -- Police are investigating a serious crash that happened at the intersection of Sherman and Teutonia in Brown Deer on Saturday morning, April 16th.The wreck, which involved a single car, happened just before 6 a.m.According to police, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was operating the vehicle while traveling northbound on Sherman, lost control struck an electric pole.Officials tell FOX6 News there were five people in the vehicle -- all taken to a hospital.

Brown Deer police: Three juveniles arrested following pursuit of vehicle stolen in Milwaukee

BROWN DEER -- Brown Deer police say three juveniles were arrested during a pursuit after their vehicle's front driver's side tire fell off the vehicle.This all began around 9:00 a.m., when a Brown Deer police officer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed through the village.Police say the vehicle failed to stop, and fled the scene.During a short pursuit, the suspect vehicle's front driver's side tire fell off -- and the three juveniles were taken into custody near 60th and Good Hope Road.Police say the suspect vehicle had been stolen out of Milwaukee -- but it had not yet been reported as stolen by the owner, a rental company.The suspects -- a 14-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl could face charges of operating without owner's consent, fleeing, joy riding and recklessly endangering safety.Several municipal citations were issued.

BROWN DEER -- The 26-year-old Milwaukee man who was shot by a Brown Deer police officer near 60th and Donna on Monday, March 14th is in stable condition at the hospital, where he is in police custody, Brown Deer Police Chief Michael Kass said on Thursday, March 17th.Chief Kass also shared new information about the two officers involved in this incident.The Milwaukee man was shot and wounded by an officer as he fought with two officers around 5:00 p.m. Monday near 60th and Donna, Chief Kass said.Kass indicated the officers were flagged down by a Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver who was concerned about the behavior of a passenger on a bus.

Brown Deer police: Two women removed from McDonald's restaurant after fight over apple pie

BROWN DEER -- Brown Deer police say two women were removed from a McDonald's restaurant in the village following a fight over an apple pie.Police received a call regarding a report of an altercation at the McDonald's restaurant.Contact was then made with two customers -- a 30-year-old woman and 34-year-old woman, both from Milwaukee.They were apparently unhappy after not being served an apple pie.An altercation then began between the women and employees.Both women were removed from the restaurant by police, and directed to file a complaint through McDonald’s Corporate Offices should they feel their service was inadequate.
