Kenosha police investigate death of seven-month-old baby boy

KENOSHA -- Kenosha police are investigating the death of a seven-month-old baby boy.This case was reported around 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2nd.We're told the child was found unresponsive by his mother in an apartment near 45th Street and 36th Avenue in Kenosha.

KENOSHA -- The Kenosha Police Department is looking for help in its effort to solve burglaries at Badger Self Storage on 22nd Avenue.Officials were called to the storage facility on January 26th in reference to more than 50 storage units being entered during the night.The Kenosha Police Detective Bureau is now looking for the public's assistance in identifying the three individuals they say are involved in the crime."It's frustrating.

29-year-old Kenosha man arrested; accused of several armed robberies

KENOSHA -- Kenosha police have arrested a man that is believed to be responsible for several armed robberies that occurred in the Kenosha area throughout December, 2015 and January, 2016.According to police, a 29-year-old Kenosha man was taken into custody on Tuesday, January 19th after an armed robbery occurred in Mount Pleasant involving a suspect brandishing a knife.Kenosha has recently experienced a rash of robberies similar to the robbery in Mount Pleasant.Friday, the 29-year-old Kenosha man was charged with five counts of armed robbery and five counts of bail jumping.He is believed to be responsible for the following robberies in the City of Kenosha:

Kenosha police: Man taken to hospital via Flight for Life after shooting & subsequent crash

KENOSHA -- Police in Kenosha were on the scene of a shooting and subsequent car crash near 65th Street and 8th Avenue on Monday evening, January 4th.It happened shortly before 7:30 p.m.Police say the driver of a vehicle, a 38-year-old Beach Park, Illinois man, was shot near 37th Avenue and 47th Street -- suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.After being shot, the driver tried to drive himself to a hospital, but ended up crashing near 65th Street and 8th Avenue after failing to stop for a stop sign.As he traveled through the intersection, the man's vehicle struck two occupied vehicles and then a tree.The driver was taken to a hospital in Milwaukee.He is expected to survive.No one is in custody.Police are working to determine a motive for this shooting.

Menomonee Falls-based developer planning development with 480 apartments in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- A Menomonee Falls-based developer has purchased more than 48 acres west of I-94 in Kenosha.The developer intends to build a development with 480 apartments.The land is at Highway 50 and 125th Avenue.Continental Properties secured approval earlier this month for the apartment development's first phase, which will include 280 apartments.The remaining 200 apartments would be built in a second phase.Continental Properties valued the project at $35 million.CLICK HERE for more on this story via the Milwaukee Business Journal.

High winds lead to high waves: Winter storm leaves behind damage along lakefront in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- A winter storm brought snow, sleet, freezing rain and high winds on Monday, December 28th, and left some damage behind along the lakefront in Kenosha.Kenosha Department of Public Works officials confirmed for FOX6 News they were working on Tuesday to clean up the mess near the Southport Marina.There's no word at this point as to a damage estimate.The photos you'll see below were taken by Miguel Castro.
