MILWAUKEE -- A fire caused roughly $10,000 in damage to Ashley's Bar-B-Que at 15th and Center in Milwaukee shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15.An officer on the scene told FOX6 News one of the smokers inside the restaurant may have relit.There was nobody inside the restaurant at the time of the fire -- and there were no injuries.The exact cause of the remains under investigation.

Police: 3 hurt in shooting near Good Hope and Teutonia; 4 firearms recovered

Firefighters dispatched to Hotel Wisconsin in downtown Milwaukee for reported gas leak

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee firefighters on Monday, Feb. 3 were dispatched to Hotel Wisconsin near 2nd and Wells for a reported gas leak.We Energies confirms that they were called to the scene for a natural gas leak after a contractor came into contact with their equipment.Upon arrival, We Energies made the area safe and have stopped the flow of gas.

MPD: Pedestrian struck by hit-and-run driver near 46th and Burleigh, suspect in custody

MILWAUKEE -- A 57-year-old Milwaukee man was struck by a hit-and-run driver at 46th and Burleigh on Friday evening, Jan. 31.Milwaukee police say the incident happened around 5:45 p.m. -- when the driver of a white Cadillac Deville was headed eastbound and struck the victim.

MFD: 10 displaced by fire at apartment building near 79th and Hampton

MILWAUKEE -- Ten people were displaced by a fire at an apartment building near 79th Street and Hampton Avenue Saturday, Jan. 11.It happened just after 3 p.m.Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department said five adults and five children were displaced.No one was hurt.Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire fairly quickly, officials said.The cause was under investigation.Officials with the American Red Cross said volunteers responded to help these displaced residents, and also, a family of five in Kenosha -- put out of their home on Horton Road Saturday afternoon.

MFD: Milwaukee DPW salt truck rolled near 114th and Mill; driver injured

MILWAUKEE -- A City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works salt truck rolled over near 114th Street and Mill Road Saturday morning, Jan. 11.Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department said the driver had to be extricated and taken to the hospital for treatment.The crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. when the truck was traveling southbound on 114th Street to service the road.A spokesman with the DPW said this was the first pass-through for salting and the roadway "would've been especially slick."PHOTO GALLERYThe extent of the driver's injuries wasn't immediately clear.

Officials: 1 found dead in fire near Locust and Richards

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner was called to the scene of a fatal fire near Locust and Richards on Thursday afternoon.Officials say an adult male was found dead on the second floor of a home, but it is not known if the man died as a result of the fire.Authorities are investigating the cause, but say there were no working smoke detectors and that the inside of the home is uninhabitable.
