ASHWAUBENON — Some residents who live in the shadow of Lambeau Field are asking if there's an offseason for being a sports fan.The village of Ashwaubenon is asking the residents to take down their Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers banners that fly from a duplex and an apartment building.Tyler Jozwiak says he and his neighbors were contacted by the village's code enforcement officer to take them down.

Packers to host 2016 NFL Draft events in Green Bay, Chicago & you're invited

GREEN BAY -- The Green Bay Packers are set to host two different events to celebrate the 2016 NFL Draft, a pep rally on the first day of the Draft in Chicago, and a party on the third day of the Draft in Green Bay.Both events are free to the public and space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at each location.The pep rally in Chicago will be held at Will’s Northwoods Inn for Round 1 of the Draft, April 28, with a program beginning at 7:30 p.m. A familiar venue for Packers fans, Will’s hosted a Packers Everywhere pep rally during the 2014 season.Packers alumni Gary Ellerson, Mark Chmura, Mark Tauscher and Frank Winters will be present at the rally and will sign autographs.Lambeau Field’s 1919 Kitchen & Tap will host the Draft party April 30, with the restaurant opening at 10 a.m., and a program beginning at 11 a.m. On-air talent from WIXX will be on hand to help host activities during Round 4 and Round 5 of the NFL Draft.Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy will participate in the program at 1919 Kitchen & Tap, along with alumni Jerry Kramer and Dave Robinson, who will sign autographs for fans in the Atrium.

GREEN BAY -- The Green Bay Packers announced plans on Tuesday, March 29th for the 11th annual ‘Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour,’ set for June 17-21, which will travel throughout Wisconsin to visit with fans and thank them in person for their support.The tour will make stops in Ripon (June 17), Fort Atkinson (June 18), Dodgeville (June 19), Black River Falls (June 20) and Shawano (June 21), with tailgate parties held in each city to support a local non-profit organization.Tour celebrities will include Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, players Jared Abbrederis, Sam Barrington and Jayrone Elliott, and Packers alumni LeRoy Butler, Robert Brooks and Sean Jones.The tour will take place aboard a customized motor coach emblazoned with the “Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour” logo and the phrase “Touching Down in Your Community.” In addition to the designated locations, tour celebrities will make surprise stops as the schedule allows.The Ripon, Black River Falls and Shawano tailgate parties will welcome the players and alumni arriving at 6 p.m., and festivities will run until 8:30 p.m. The Fort Atkinson tailgate party will be held from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., and the Dodgeville tailgate party will be held from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. A local non-profit organization will host each party, which will feature food, giveaways, question-and-answer sessions and autographs.
