Bears come to Titletown: Can the Packers get back to their winning ways?

GREEN BAY -- The Green Bay Packers hope to get back to their winning ways when they square up against the Chicago Bears on Thursday, October 20th -- at Lambeau Field. It is the final contest of a four-game homestand for the Packers.

According to, Thursday will mark game No. 193 in the NFL’s oldest rivalry. The Bears hold a 94-92-6 edge in the series, which includes two playoff games (1-1).

Dating back to 1970, the Packers’ 20 prime-time games against the Bears are the most they have played against any team.

Under Head Coach Mike McCarthy, the Packers are 14-7 against the Bears during the regular and postseason, including wins in 10 of the last 12 games. In all but one of the 14 wins under McCarthy, Green Bay has scored at least 20 points. The Packers have scored 30-plus points in four of the last five contests
(31, 55, 38, 33, 13) against Chicago. The Packers have won six of the last eight meetings against the Bears at Lambeau Field.
