New Berlin police identify husband, wife who died after shooting incident at home on Hickory Trail

NEW BERLIN -- New Berlin police have identified a man and a woman in their 70s who died Wednesday, November 23rd following a 911 call from a home on Hickory Trail.The victims have been identified as 76-year-old William Krueger and 71-year-old Karen Krueger -- husband and wife.Both lived at the home on Hickory Trail.Police say an investigation has revealed this incident was possibly related to health issues, and didn't involve domestic violence.Police are not looking for any suspects.No criminal charges are being pursued against anyone.Police say the community was never in any danger.The investigation into the double shooting started with an odd 911 call on Wednesday morning.A man on the phone did not identify himself but insinuated help was needed.

Ogden seeks approval for $16.3 million Waukesha apartment project

WAUKESHA -- Ogden wants to build a $16.3 million apartment development in Waukesha in the fall of 2017.122 high-end apartments in two four-story buildings would satisfy a recent lawsuit settlement with the city.The lawsuit was filed after a development agreement between the company and city stalled, and Waukesha officials requested payments instead of property taxes that were expected from the development.The Waukesha Plan Commission will review the concept in December.CLICK HERE for more on this story via the Milwaukee Business Journal.

71-year-old convicted sex offender released in Waukesha County -- and he is homeless

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Waukesha police and sheriff's officials are alerting the public about the release of a convicted sex offender -- who is now homeless.71-year-old Stanley Blodgett was released on Tuesday, November 22nd.Officials say Blodgett was required to complete a face-to-face registration at the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and Waukesha Police Department.Blodgett will be a lifetime sex offender registrant and also on GPS monitoring.If he violates the terms of his lifetime registry or GPS conditions, he will be taken into custody.Blodgett’s convictions were in 1963, 1981, and 1996.In 1996, he was convicted of first degree sexual assault of a child.Officials said this in a statement:

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Authorities responded to a rollover crash on I-94 eastbound in Waukesha County Saturday, November 19th.Drivers were diverted onto County Highway F while officials assisted at the scene.The crash is believed to have been due to the slippery roads.

Man in his 30s, believed homeless, struck by train in Waukesha

WAUKESHA -- A man in his 30s, believed homeless, was taken to the hospital after he was struck by a train Tuesday, November 15th in Waukesha.Police say this happened at the dead end of Carroll Street between East Avenue and Barstow Street.The victim was not a student at the nearby Carroll University.The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation.Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates on this developing story.

Suspects sought: Brookfield police investigate theft of tires, rims from dealership

BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield police are investigating after two unknown suspects removed four tires and rims from a vehicle at the Dodge City dealership in Brookfield.It happened around 11:00 p.m. Monday, November 14th.According to police, two unknown suspects removed four Michelin tires, size 235 55 R 19 and 19 X 7.5 polished aluminum wheels from a white 2015 Dodge Charger.

12-year-old girl missing from Town of Lisbon found safe

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department say a 12-year-old girl, reported missing from the Town of Lisbon has been FOUND SAFE.Sheriff's officials said Ayana Phelps is home as of Thursday night. 

Accused in head-on, wrong-way crash, Hartford woman told police she "doesn't normally drink"

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- 43-year-old Amy Hess of Hartford has been charged in connection with a wrong-way crash that happened Friday, October 21st in Brookfield.The head-on crash happened shortly after 11:30 p.m.Police say Hess was headed westbound in the eastbound lanes of Capitol Drive, just west of Mitchell Park Drive.A 23-year-old Milwaukee County man suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.Hess now faces one count of OWI, first offense.According to a criminal complaint, police observed a strong odor of alcohol emitting from Hess following the crash.
