Heavy police presence at Sentry in Delafield after "medical emergency"

DELAFIELD -- Delafield police and officials with Lake Country Fire & Rescue were on scene at the Sentry Foods Store at the Nagawaukee Shopping Center on Golf Road near Highway 83 Sunday, February 5th for a "medical emergency."Delafield police said in a news release initial witness reports were unclear as to the nature of the emergency, and some witnesses reported a possible assault or gunshot wound.

Brookfield police: Suspect wanted in connection with shooting at Embassy Suites IN CUSTODY

BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield police said Monday, January 30th a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that happened early Sunday, January 29th at the Embassy Suites hotel on Moorland near Greenfield IS IN CUSTODY.The 19-year-old man turned himself into police after detectives negotiated with his family.Police said he would be taken to the Waukesha County Jail on Monday evening and could make his initial appearance in court as soon as Tuesday.The man will most likely face charges of attempted first degree intentional homicide and multiple charges of recklessly endangering safety, police said.Police said the handgun used in this incident was recovered Sunday night, on top of a frozen pond in a park in Milwaukee County -- with assistance from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.Two people were shot and wounded after a fight broke out at the Embassy Suites early Sunday.Brookfield police responded to the hotel around 1:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting.When they arrived, they learned there had been a party at the hotel with numerous young adults.

Menomonee Falls to transition 911 dispatch services to Waukesha Co. Communications Center

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- The Village of Menomonee Falls is transitioning all of its police/fire/EMS dispatch services to the Waukesha County Communications Center (WCC).On Wednesday, February 1st at 7:00 am, Menomonee Falls 911 dispatchers will broadcast a sign off message to all radio channels followed by WCC dispatchers broadcasting a sign on message.According to a press release, the WCC regional dispatch center will connect Menomonee Falls residents directly to the WCC dispatchers when they call 911, from any phone whether the call is from a landline or a cellular phone.

Menomonee Falls PD seek suspect after theft at BP gas station on Appleton Avenue

MENOMONEE FALLS -- Menomonee Falls police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who they say stole merchandise valued at nearly $270 from the BP gas station located on Appleton Avenue near Arthur Avenue.The theft took place Tuesday, January 17th around 11:30 a.m.According to police, the suspect distracted the clerk by asking for cigarettes that caused the clerk to step away and turn her back.

Brookfield police searching for Dick's Sporting Goods theft suspect

BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield police have released surveillance photos of a suspect they say stole three expensive winter jackets from Dick's Sporting Goods located on Discovery Drive in Brookfield.According to police, around 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15th, the suspect entered the store and selected three women's The North Face winter jackets, valued at $99 each, and exited the store without paying for them.Officials say the suspect then fled on foot.He is described as a black male, 6'2" to 6'4" tall, slim build.

Arraignment set for suspect caught on camera robbing 2 Waukesha gas stations in 5 days

WAUEKSHA COUNTY -- 28-year-old Anthony Deleon, one of two men charged in connection with two armed robberies at two gas stations in Waukesha taking place within a five-day period was in court Wednesday, January 18th for his preliminary hearing.An arraignment was set for February 1st for Deleon.21-year-old Mitchell Gamroth, also charged in this case, will be in court on February 2nd for his preliminary hearing.Each of the men faces two counts of armed robbery as party to a crime.
