All clear: Toxic gas released, evaporated in wake of truck accident

KENOSHA COUNTY-- The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department says a truck accident caused the release of a toxic gas and that residents in the communities of Union Grove and Paris were told stay inside and close their windows.

KENOSHA -- A Kenosha high school student is being treated for life-threatening injuries after police said the student was stabbed by a fellow student at Bradford High School Tuesday morning, April 25th.An initial investigation found a juvenile student stabbed another juvenile student shortly before 8:30 a.m. A Kenosha police school resource officer intervened and immediately took the suspect into custody.

KENOSHA -- Kenosha police have arrested a 34-year-old man after the death of his two-month-old baby boy, which happened Tuesday, April 11th.Police said around 3:00 p.m., they were called out to a home near 7th Avenue and 47th Street for a baby who did not have a pulse and was not breathing.Life-saving efforts were not successful.The baby's father was taken into custody in connection with the death.Reckless homicide charges are being forwarded to the Kenosha County District Attorney's Office.

KENOSHA COUNTY -- Charges have been referred against a 72-year-old Illinois man after a shooting at the "Conservation Club of Kenosha County" Saturday, April 8th.It happened around 11:00 a.m.According to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department, a 64-year-old Kenosha man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen -- injured at the trap shooting range at the Conservation Club, which is located on 85th Street near 216th Avenue.An investigation revealed the 72-year-old man from Elk Grove Village, Illinois had been shooting a 20-gauge shotgun, which malfunctioned.

Kenosha police officer accused of attacking doctor speaking with estranged wife pleads guilty

KENOSHA COUNTY -- 30-year-old Kendal West, a Kenosha police officer, placed on administrative leave after he was arrested on January 1st, accused of attacking a doctor who was speaking with his estranged wife, has reached a plea deal in the case against him.West on Wednesday, April 5th pleaded guilty to two amended charges.

TREVOR -- Officials with the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday afternoon, March 28th are urging drivers to avoid the area near 104th Street and 268th Court in Trevor as they work on scene of a crash involving a train and a semi.Sheriff's officials said a preliminary investigation has determined that the semi-tractor trailer unit, hauling a piece of construction equipment on a low-profile trailer  was attempting to cross the train crossing when the trailer became lodged on the grade crossing.The Canadian National Railway train was heading southbound on the Canadian National tracks when it struck the trailer of the semi.Personnel from Canadian National Railway are on the scene.According to sheriff's officials, there was damage to some components of the train, which will require repair prior to moving.
