KENOSHA -- Kenosha police say they seized a number of illegal drugs during the execution of a search warrant on Saturday evening, February 11th.The warrant was served as part of the ongoing investigation of a number of heroin overdoses recently in Kenosha.Officers seized heroin, cocaine and marijuana on Saturday.

Shots fired reported at 3 different locations in Kenosha; 1 person taken into custody

KENOSHA -- One person was taken into custody after multiple gunshots were reported at three different locations in Kenosha early Friday, February 10th.According to Kenosha police, the three different reports indicated gunshots being fired into homes.Shortly after 7:45 a.m., a vehicle possibly related to the incidents was stopped on 59th Street.

School district officials: Kenosha police investigate possible attempted abduction of 12-year-old girl

KENOSHA -- Kenosha police are investigating a possible attempted abduction, officials with the Kenosha Unified School District said Tuesday, December 20th.It happened near 40th Street and 28th Avenue.In a post on their Facebook page, KUSD officials said a 12-year-old child was on the sidewalk when she was approached by a male in a vehicle who waved at her and asked her to get in the vehicle.The child then ran to her home.The suspect/driver was described as an older white male with white hair and a medium build wearing a brown winter jacket.The suspect vehicle was described as a red, four-door vehicle.Although there was no physical contact, the suspect did attempt to wave the child to his car.The Kenosha Police Department asks everyone to report any suspicious activity to KPD's Dispatch Center at 262-656-1234 or dial 911.

HUD approves $4.7M loan to City of Kenosha to help build new fire station

KENOSHA -- The City of Kenosha is set to receive a $4.7 million loan to help build a new fire station on the vacant site of the former Bain School.The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) made the announcement that it is approving the loan on Monday, December 12th.According to a news release, HUD's Section 108 Loan Guarantee Assistance Program enables local governments to borrow money at reduced interest rates to promote economic development, stimulate job growth and improve public facilities.

Update: Man dies at the hospital after car vs. bicycle crash in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- A man, believed elderly, died at the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle while on his bicycle Wednesday, November 9th.It happened near the intersection of 75th Street and 38th Avenue in Kenosha around 5:00 p.m.When officers arrived on scene, they found a bicyclist with significant injuries.
