With the Democratic National Convention to be held almost entirely virtually, some have wondered -- should Milwaukee get a raincheck for 2024?

Protesters don't plan to stay home despite the fact that Joe Biden, convention speakers and delegates will not be in Milwaukee for the Democratic National Convention.

Joe Biden's campaign is reportedly reserving nearly twice the amount that President Trump's campaign has reserved for digital and TV ads.

The announcement that Joe Biden will not accept the Democratic nomination for president in Milwaukee marks a heartbreaking end to what was supposed to be a major economic boost for local businesses.

A DNC official said all speakers and presenters for the Aug. 17-24 convention are now expected to speak from remote locations.

The rapper has until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 to turn in his signatures for the 2020 election in Wisconsin, and also has his sights set on Arkansas, Ohio and West Virginia.

Asked to stay home amid the coronavirus pandemic, one Milwaukee delegate said he was looking forward to hosting the DNC in his city as he prepares to cast his ballot virtually.

Biden said in May that he hoped to name his pick around Aug. 1 and told reporters this week that he would “have a choice in the first week of August.” He notably stopped short of saying when he would announce that choice.
