Power outages impact thousands of customers in Washington County

HARTFORD -- The We Energies Outage Map Wednesday night, Aug. 8 showed thousands of people without power in Washington County.As of 8 p.m., there were more than 300 outages reported in the area, impacting more than 8,000 customers.ATC officials said one of the transmission lines near West Bend and Hartford tripped out of service.

'Helps bring us together:' Positivity takes center stage at National Night Out event after weekend shooting

MILWAUKEE -- On the heels of a very violent few days in Milwaukee, people are saying "enough is enough." Many came together on Tuesday night, Aug. 7, for a National Night Out event in Washington Park, where four people were hurt in a shooting on Saturday.The shooting that happened during a church picnic as people played basketball on the courts at Washington Park on Saturday didn't deter people from coming out to the National Night Out event.

MPD seeks suspect responsible for at least 10 carjackings in Milwaukee

Police: Man dies after suffering serious gunshot wound near 7th and Keefe in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that happened Monday afternoon, Aug. 6.Around 3:15 p.m., officers responded to the area near 7th and Keefe, where a man believed to be in his early 20s died after suffering a serious gunshot wound.Police are working to identify the victim and a possible motive.Less than an hour later, around 4 p.m., police were on scene near 2nd and Concordia.A 27-year-old man sustained what police called "a possible non-life threatening gunshot wound" and was taken to the hospital for treatment.The investigation is ongoing.This was one of four homicides in Milwaukee Monday.
