MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police were able to arrest a shooting suspect minutes after the crime occurred.Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of N. 20th Street (20th and Center) just after 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 11th for a report of a shooting.The victim, a 52-year-old man was on his bicycle when he was shot by a suspect who walked past him.The suspect fled the scene on foot.Police got a description of the suspect from the victim, and that suspect was located in the 2500 block of N. 24th Street.Police say the suspect, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, had started a fire to try to destroy his clothing.The 52-year-old shooting victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injury.Charges against the suspect are expected to be filed soon.
