"Tragic:" Medical examiner says driver sped off after spotting squad car; cousins killed

MILWAUKEE -- Speed is believed to have led to a crash that killed two cousins early Monday morning, April 3rd near 70th and Marion in Milwaukee, and loved ones -- hundreds of them -- gathered in the rain to pay tribute to the two young men on Monday evening.The crash happened around 2:00 a.m.The medical examiner on Monday night identified the victims as 29-year-old Quincy Brown and 22-year-old Kelvin Jones.

MILWAUKE -- A vehicle crashed into the front door of a building near 76th and Grantosa early Sunday, April 2nd, after all three occupants of that vehicle were struck by gunfire, police said.Milwaukee police officers responded to the scene around 2:30 a.m.According to police, the victims were traveling northbound in their vehicle on N. 76th Street when an unknown suspect(s) fired multiple shots into the vehicle.

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police said a four-year-old boy was accidentally shot Sunday, April 2nd after, police say, his mother left a handgun within his reach.It happened around 1:00 p.m. near 60th and Hampton.Police said the boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening.Meanwhile, his mother was arrested, and this case will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office later this week.This wasn't the first time something like this has happened in Milwaukee.In September of 2016, police said a six-year-old boy accidentally shot his nine-year-old half-brother near 20th and Hadley.
