Fire damages auto repair shop near 60th & Congress; no one was injured

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee fire officials on Wednesday, April 1st were called out to a fire at an auto repair shop near 60th and Congress.The call came in shortly before 5:00 a.m.The fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to the building and $20,000 in damage to contents.No one was injured.The cause is under investigation.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee firefighters battled a two-alarm fire near 41st and Custer on the city's north side.Emergency responders were first dispatched to the scene around 4:15 p.m. The fire was upgraded to a two-alarm fire because flames spread from one home to another.Nobody was hurt as a result of this fire.

Family able to safely escape house fire near Hubbard and Meinecke

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A Milwaukee family was able to safely escape a house fire overnight.It happened in a bedroom of a home near Hubbard and Meinecke just before 11:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1st.At least five people were inside the home at the time.No one was hurt.Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, but it appears to be accidental.

DEVELOPING: Three teens riding in stolen vehicle shot, wounded near Sherman & Burleigh

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Three teenagers were shot near the intersection of Sherman and Burleigh on Milwaukee's north side on Wednesday evening, February 25th.A deputy chief with the Milwaukee Fire Department says the shooting happened around 4 p.m. Those injured were taken to hospitals.We're told the victims are teenagers -- two 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old girl.

Several people displaced after fire races through two Milwaukee homes

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Several people have been displaced after fire burned through two homes near 24th and Brown early Saturday, February 21st.Officials say the fire started in one duplex and spread to a second building.One firefighter suffered a hand injury while helping to battle the fire.

On a bitterly cold night, three people taken to the hospital as fire breaks out near 27th & Lloyd

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee Fire officials say three people were taken to the hospital following a fire that occurred near 27th and Lloyd on this bitterly cold Wednesday night, February 18th.It happened at a single-family home where six people are living shortly before 8:00 p.m. This, as the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for all of southeast Wisconsin to be in effect until noon on Thursday, February 19th.
