MFD Dive Team pulls woman from Milwaukee River

MILWAUKEE -- A woman was pulled from the Milwaukee River early Saturday morning, November 4th.Just before 1:00 a.m., the Milwaukee Fire Department's dive team responded to a call near the area of Riverwalk and State Street.

Developing: Fire damages building on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE -- Firefighters on Friday morning, November 3rd were called out to the scene of a fire on Milwaukee's south side.Crews responded to the area near 27th and Euclid around 1:30 a.m. The appears to have spread between two businesses.

Firefighters called out to 26th and Auer to extinguish flames in vacant home

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee firefighters on Wednesday afternoon, November 1st were called out to a vacant home near 26th and Auer.The call came in around 1:00 p.m., and the flames were extinguished by 1:30 p.m.Officials said a fire on the second floor caused quite a bit of damage.We're told the vacant home was being renovated.Investigators are looking into what caused the fire and how much damage it caused.PHOTO GALLERY

"Everything is completely gone:" Fire destroys building near Appleton and Fiebrantz

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee firefighters battled a large blaze at a building near Appleton and Fiebrantz Tuesday evening, October 31st, which destroyed a building in the area.Crews were called to the scene around 6:00 p.m."The fire was found to be well enveloped into the basement, up through the first floor," Deputy Terry Lintonen with the Milwaukee Fire Department said.A FOX6 photojournalist on scene said around 7:15 p.m. the building was fully-engulfed.Firefighters were forced from the building by falling debris.PHOTO GALLERY"We withdrew our firefighters in an orderly manner from the building," Lintonen said.The owner of Garden of Eden Kingdom Living, a health food store inside the building that caught fire, said "everything is completely gone.""Somebody called me and was like, 'the building is smoking' and I was like 'what?' Right now, I’m just going to kind of breathe, take it all in and get somewhere quiet to find out what my next move is.

Apartment building near Locust and Humboldt evacuated amid high carbon monoxide levels

MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department on Tuesday evening, October 31st were called out to an apartment building near Locust and Humboldt, where they found high carbon monoxide levels.The call came in around 5:00 p.m.Fire officials said the carbon monoxide levels in the four-story apartment building were above an acceptable level for the fire department’s threshold -- about 50 parts per millionWe Energies was called out to the scene to secure gas to the building.The fire department was able to ventilate the structure and bring the levels down -- and occupants were then let back into the building.No one was hurt.

Developing: MFD dive crews called out to pond near Kosciuszko Park

MILWAUKEE -- Dive crews on Monday, October 16th were called out to a pond near Kosciuszko Park.Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department's Dive Team were on scene Monday afternoon near 7th and Lincoln.This, after a report came in regarding a possible body in the water.It's unclear at this point whether anything was found.

Milwaukee firefighters and citizens honored for acts of heroism: "It's a great thing to save somebody"
