GuitarTown guitars arrive in Waukesha

Man charged with selling cocaine at mall parking lot

WAUKESHA CO. -- The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department says there's been an increase in crack cocaine and heroin cases.That's evidenced in part by a recent case involving 23-year-old David Fletcher.

Burglary ring has struck the New Berlin area 14 times

NEW BERLIN -- Since mid-December, a burglary ring has struck New Berlin and the surrounding communities at least fourteen times.The New Berlin Police Department says that most of the burglaries have occurred in the morning hours, after most people have left for work.

Eastbound I-94 shut down temporarily for high-risk traffic stop

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Eastbound I-94 near Elm Grove Road was shut down for a short period of time before 1 p.m. Friday while deputies conducted a high-risk traffic stop.Waukesha County Sheriff's Office Detective Steve Pederson says the closure was the result of a call from a driver who indicated a motorist was waving a gun around in a car.As it turns out, the deputies discovered there was a domestic dispute involving a man and woman inside the car that was pulled over.

New donations keep Waukesha's Siena House open

WAUKESHA -- A homeless shelter in Waukesha is getting the opportunity to open its doors for the winter months because of timely donations.A lack of funding forced the operators of Siena House to shut down the shelter in July.

More than 500 Special Olympics athletes in town for competitions

Hundreds of Special Olympics athletes competed in volleyball and bowling competitions at the State Fall Sports Tournament on Saturday.Special Olympics Wisconsin provides year-round training and competition opportunities in eighteen different sports.One of the participants, Cynthia Bently, competed in the volleyball event.
