Three critically injured in crash on I-94 near County P in Waukesha County
WAUKESHA COUNTY -- All lanes on I-94 eastbound and westbound were temporarily closed at County P Tuesday, December 29th due to a multi-vehicle crash. Three people sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash.
According to authorities, the Waukesha County Communications Center received numerous reports of a serious multiple-vehicle collision on I-94 at Summit Avenue around 8:22 a.m.
When crews arrived on scene it was determined that a vehicle was traveling westbound on I-94 east of Sawyer Road when the driver lost control, rolling the vehicle several times. The vehicle came to a rest on the eastbound shoulder of I-94.
Officials say there were six people in the vehicle -- with three sustaining critical injuries.
Two other non-contact vehicles were also involved in this initial incident.
The freeway didn't reopen until around noon.
