KENOSHA -- Kenosha police tell FOX6 News the frozen body of a woman was found outside a home near 45th Street and 19th Avenue on Monday, January 11th.

Kenosha police: Man taken to hospital via Flight for Life after shooting & subsequent crash

KENOSHA -- Police in Kenosha were on the scene of a shooting and subsequent car crash near 65th Street and 8th Avenue on Monday evening, January 4th.It happened shortly before 7:30 p.m.Police say the driver of a vehicle, a 38-year-old Beach Park, Illinois man, was shot near 37th Avenue and 47th Street -- suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.After being shot, the driver tried to drive himself to a hospital, but ended up crashing near 65th Street and 8th Avenue after failing to stop for a stop sign.As he traveled through the intersection, the man's vehicle struck two occupied vehicles and then a tree.The driver was taken to a hospital in Milwaukee.He is expected to survive.No one is in custody.Police are working to determine a motive for this shooting.

Two dogs ejected when stolen vehicle struck another vehicle in Racine Co.; one dog died

RACINE COUNTY -- The two right lanes of northbound I-94 at County Highway K were temporarily shut down because of a crash on Thursday, December 31st.By early afternoon, the scene was cleared.FOX6 News has learned this incident began just before 11:00 a.m., when a deputy in northern Kenosha County spotted a vehicle that was reported stolen.A traffic stop was attempted on Highway KR, but the suspect vehicle fled the scene.The suspect vehicle ended up striking another vehicle and crashing in Racine County.There were two occupants in the suspect vehicle -- an adult and a juvenile.

Menomonee Falls-based developer planning development with 480 apartments in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- A Menomonee Falls-based developer has purchased more than 48 acres west of I-94 in Kenosha.The developer intends to build a development with 480 apartments.The land is at Highway 50 and 125th Avenue.Continental Properties secured approval earlier this month for the apartment development's first phase, which will include 280 apartments.The remaining 200 apartments would be built in a second phase.Continental Properties valued the project at $35 million.CLICK HERE for more on this story via the Milwaukee Business Journal.

High winds lead to high waves: Winter storm leaves behind damage along lakefront in Kenosha

KENOSHA -- A winter storm brought snow, sleet, freezing rain and high winds on Monday, December 28th, and left some damage behind along the lakefront in Kenosha.Kenosha Department of Public Works officials confirmed for FOX6 News they were working on Tuesday to clean up the mess near the Southport Marina.There's no word at this point as to a damage estimate.The photos you'll see below were taken by Miguel Castro.

Court reinstates force lawsuit against Kenosha police

MADISON — A state appeals court has reinstated a police excessive force lawsuit against the city of Kenosha.Daniel Wilson filed a lawsuit last year alleging Officer Susan Webb injured him when she arrested him in May 2011 during a domestic dispute.

Plane lands in cornfield near Kenosha Regional Airport; no one hurt

False alarm: Kenosha police find no evidence of shots fired at Indian Trail H.S.

KENOSHA -- Kenosha police tell FOX6 News that a report of shots fired at Indian Trail High School and Academy on Friday, December 4th was a false alarm.Initially, police received a 911 call indicating shots had been fired at the school at 5:48 p.m. But once on the scene, police say they found no evidence of a shooter, a shooting, shell casings or injuries.
