Packers' Jared Cook, Sargento officials present $39K check to Hunger Task Force

MILWAUKEE -- Just in time for the holidays, the Hunger Task Force on Tuesday, December 13th received a big donation.The Green Bay Packers and Sargento Foods presented a $39,000 check to the Hunger Task Force -- marking the 14th season of the "Touchdowns for Charity" program.The program has raised more than $1.1 million since it began.Packers' tight end Jared Cook joined Sargento officials to present the check."I want to thank everyone for being here today.

Letter carriers work overtime on their day off, gearing up for "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee-area letter carriers worked overtime on Sunday, April 24th to help feed the hungry.The letter carriers, on their day off, sorted and weighed more than a half-million postcards to let people know about the Hunger Task Force's "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive.It is easy to make a donation.On May 14th, all you have to do is put a food donation in your mailbox.All of the food donated in the Milwaukee area will stay in the Milwaukee area."Here in Milwaukee, we have about 35,000 every month that are visiting local food pantries and over half those people are kids," Jonathan Hansen with the Hunger Task Force said.During the week leading up to May 14th, letter carriers will drop off blue bags that you can fill with non-perishable food items.CLICK HERE to learn more about the Hunger Task Force and the Stamp Out Hunger program.

Bruce Springsteen concert garners over $18,000 for Hunger Task Force

MILWAUKEE -- Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band teamed up with the Hunger Task Force and were able to raise over $18,000 in cash donations -- an all-time record for Springsteen concert fundraisers.The band's sold-out show took place Thursday, March 3rd at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
