MILWAUKEE -- Authorities have taken three people into custody for their involvement in a hit-and-run involving a stolen car, Thursday, Dec. 5 around 8:20 p.m.Deputies from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office spotted a black sedan with severe front-end damage on eastbound I-94 that matched the description of a car reported by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department as being involved in a hit-and-run at Brookfield and Barker Roads.When authorities attempted to pull the car over, the driver fled.

Wrong-way driver causes 3-vehicle crash on SB I-43, showed no signs of impairment

MILWAUKEE -- A three-vehicle crash involving a wrong-way driver shut down a stretch of southbound I-43 near Capitol Drive on Wednesday morning, Dec. 4.The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to the scene around 11 a.m. -- and reports a driver was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-43.When they arrived on the scene, deputies found three vehicles and debris covering all three lanes.Officials say the wrong-way driver, a female, showed no signs of impairment.

Sheriff: Pothole on I-894 at 60th Street deflated tires for 6 drivers

MILWAUKEE -- Six drivers had to be towed after a pothole resulted in flat tires on I-894 at 60th Street on Tuesday evening, Dec. 3.Officials with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said it happened around 5:30 p.m.The pothole was in the right lane at 68th Street, where there is construction.The right lane was temporarily closed until the Milwaukee County Highway Department came out to fix the pothole.Again, six vehicles were towed due to flat tires.Sheriff's officials said crews took out the overpass for 68th Street to rebuild the bridge, and as part of the construction, the lanes shift to the right and the pothole formed in the right lane in what was previously the right distress lane.The lane was closed for approximately one hour.

RACINE COUNTY -- Two men are facing multiple charges after a traffic stop for a busted headlight turned into a drug bust in Racine County on Saturday, Nov. 30.Around 9:30 p.m., a Racine County deputy was on patrol along I-94 southbound in the Village of Yorkville when they saw a red car approaching them with a defective passenger side headlamp.
