MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say a man was hurt when he was struck by an awning attacked to Planet Fitness in downtown Milwaukee.It happened near the intersection of Plankinton and Wisconsin Avenue around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16th.Police say the 36-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk, when he was struck by the awning, which was blowing in the wind.The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.A High Wind Warning was in effect for all of southeastern Wisconsin from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
