Police: Driver to be cited after crash involving two vehicles, school bus at 47th & Capitol

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a crash that happened on Tuesday afternoon, April 12th near 47th and Capitol Drive.

It happened around 4:00 p.m. and involved a school bus and two vehicles.

Police say the bus and a Saab 9-3 were headed west on Capitol Drive, and as they approached 47th Street, a Hyundai Elantra headed north through the intersection collided with the Saab and the bus.

There were children on the bus at the time -- but none were hurt.

Two people in the Saab and one person in the Hyundai were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing.

Police say the driver of the Hyundai will be cited for failing to yield the right of way.
