17-year-old killed in shooting second teen to lose his life to gun violence in 24 hours

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that happened on Monday afternoon, April 11th.

Police say the victim, a 17-year-old Milwaukee boy, who has been identified as Kemone Love, suffered a gunshot wound in a shooting near Green Bay Avenue and Capitol Drive around 2:45 p.m.

He was driven from the scene by those with him, and found dead near 19th and Capitol Drive.

The investigation is ongoing and MPD continues to seek suspects and determine a motive.

This is the second teenager to die as a result of gunfire in less than 24 hours in Milwaukee. On Sunday night, 16-year-old Shamaury Young died at the scene of a shooting at a condo building at 76th and Sheridan.

Three other teen boys were hurt in that shooting.
