Semi jackknifed into ditch in East Troy due to wind, closing all lanes of WIS 20
EAST TROY -- Walworth County Sheriff's officials say a semi jackknifed into a ditch due to a combination of high winds and blowing snow on Wednesday night, January 27th, and the crash shut down all lanes of WIS 20 at Townline Road in East Troy.It happened shortly before 9:00 p.m.The semi wasn't carrying much of a load, so we're told that was also a factor in this incident.The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries.As of 9:30 p.m., wrecker crews had gotten the semi out of the ditch, and the scene was expected to be cleared before 10:00 p.m. No other vehicles were involved in this crash.

During search for wanted man, deputies uncover meth lab inside home in Walworth County
WALWORTH COUNTY -- Walworth County Sheriff's officials say their search for a wanted man uncovered a meth lab at a home in the Village of Bloomfield.On Monday, November 23rd, Walworth County Sheriff's officials, in conjunction with the Walworth County Drug Enforcement Unit and the Village of Bloomfield Police Department (in Pell Lake) received information that a 31-year-old man was wanted through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Office.It was reported that the man was at his home on Myrtle Road in the Village of Bloomfield in Walworth County.The home was searched -- but the man was not located.What was located, however, was the remains of a meth lab.The DEA Clandestine Lab Team was called out to the scene to assist with clean-up.During this time, deputies learned the 31-year-old man was at the Walmart store in Lake Geneva.
