RACINE/KENOSHA COUNTIES (WITI) -- Rain hammered Racine, Kenosha and other communities to the South of Milwaukee -- with the Village of Waterford and parts of Kenosha County under a state of emergency due to flooding.The Fox River is currently above flood stage, and is expected to continue rising.Through rain, fog, water and trees, homes in Waterford seem to be almost floating."There's no place for it to go.

CALEDONIA (WITI) -- The Caledonia Police Department is warning residents to be wary of fraudulent attempts to obtain money through unsolicited emails.According to police, an individual was scammed out of $1,800 after being contacted through an unsolicited email by a person who claimed to be a hiring manager for Monster Energy Drink.According to officials, the victim was asked if he would be interested in a business deal where he would advertise for the company using his personal vehicle.The victim was sent a check by FED EX for $1,800 through Advantage Federal Credit Union.The victim was told to send $1,454 to a graphic designer, who after receiving the check, would come to the victim's residence to put Monster logos on his vehicle.

Man says he was on "cocaine bender" when he broke into brother's home

RACINE (WITI) -- 38-year-old Leonardo Mandujano of Racine has been charged in connection with an incident in which he is accused of breaking into his brother's home during a five-day bender.Mandujano faces one count of burglary of a building or dwelling and one count of possession of cocaine.The criminal complaint in the case indicates Mount Pleasant police officers met with John and Sandra Mandujano at their home in the 6500 block of Spring Hill Drive.John Mandujano reported he left work around 6:45 a.m. and returned around 2:15 p.m. on March 14th.The criminal complaint says when John Mandujano returned home and checked his home, he noticed someone had taken cash from a wallet on his dresser without his consent.

RACINE/KENOSHA COUNTIES (WITI) -- Racine and Kenosha counties were among the hardest hit by Tuesday's snowfall.Illuminated by flares, officers with the State Patrol and the Racine County Sheriff's Office responded to an upside down vehicle with its hazard lights still blinking and its bumper across the intersection in a ditch.This was just one of a number of incidents officials responded to as the snow fell in southeastern Wisconsin Tuesday.Passing drivers suspected the slushy conditions may be to blame.There was actually not a lot of traffic around it so the freeway was pretty clear.
