MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- A man who was tackled and held by good Samaritans after a retail theft incident at the Walmart store near 108th and Layton in Greenfield on Dec. 5, 2018 was sentenced to probation on Tuesday, Oct. 8.Christopher Simpson, 40, originally entered into a deferred prosecution agreement with prosecutors, but online court records showed that agreement was revoked on July 31 due to noncompliance with the agreement.

6 vehicles involved in crash at 27th and College; 1 driver fell asleep at the wheel

MILWAUKEE -- Six vehicles were involved in a crash Monday, Oct. 7 near 27th Street and College Avenue.Four people were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening.Police noted one of the drivers involved in the crash fell asleep behind the wheel.

Man charged in random, fatal stabbing in Greenfield committed for mental health treatment

MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- A Greenfield man prosecutors said fatally stabbed an innocent man in a random attack on Aug. 27 was ordered committed for mental health treatment after he was found incompetent to proceed in the case against him during a court hearing Friday, Oct. 4.Amando Lang, 19, faces one count of first-degree intentional homicide for the death of Ben Christianson.During Lang's court hearing, he was ruled incompetent based on a doctor's report, and the case against him was suspended.
