Police: 15-year-old shot during confrontation near 20th & Arthur

MILWAUKEE -- A teenager was taken to the hospital Sunday morning, April 8, after being shot during a confrontation overnight.Police responded to the shooting near 20th and Arthur around 1:30 a.m.That's where a boy, 15, was shot during a confrontation with another person.Crews from the Milwaukee Fire Department gave the victim medical attention at the scene and then took him to the hospital.

MFD: Divers pull man to safety after he fell into Milwaukee River

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Fire Department Rescue Divers pull a man to safety from the Milwaukee River early Sunday morning, April 8.Authorities say a 49-year-old man was walking along the river walk, just north of Wisconsin Avenue, when he lost his balance and fell into the river around 12:45 a.m.A Milwaukee police officer quickly tossed him a flotation device as MFD Rescue Divers jumped in.The man was taken to the hospital and is listed in "good condition."

Foxconn sets construction hiring targets

MOUNT PLEASANT — Foxconn Technology Group has set hiring goals for the construction of its manufacturing campus in southeast Wisconsin.The company's construction management team wants 60 percent of the project to be done by Wisconsin companies, with 70 percent of the job hours worked by Wisconsin residents, the Kenosha News reported .International construction company Gilbane has called for 10 percent of the subcontractors to be based in Racine County and 10 percent to be women-, minority- or veteran-owned businesses.Construction-related companies must register with Gilbane to receive automatic bid alerts and information about upcoming pre-bid and matchmaking sessions, said Mark Maley, a spokesman with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.Gilbane is known for projects that include Washington's Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Chicago's O'Hare International Airport Terminal 5 and Houston's Exxon-Mobil campus.Foxconn plans to focus on increasing capacity in workforce and business in Wisconsin, while also building a high-quality facility, said Adam Jalen, a representative of Foxconn.Building the $10 billion manufacturing complex is expected to generate 10,000 construction jobs each of the next four years.

Suspect sought: Man shot, injured during road rage incident in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE --  Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that stemmed from a road rage incident Wednesday night, April 4.According to police, around 9 p.m. an 18-year-old man walked into a local hospital suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound.The initial investigation revealed that while driving, the victim became involved in a road rage situation with another vehicle.

MILWAUKEE -- After watching FOX6 News on Monday night, April 2, a Milwaukee woman said Tuesday she believes the same thieves who smashed into a parked car near 28th and Rogers also stole her vehicle.The victim believes this is all part of a "game" teenagers are playing -- stealing SUVs, speeding through town and smashing the stolen vehicles into other vehicles.On March 18, in broad daylight, surveillance cameras along West Calumet in Milwaukee captured two young suspects poking around the business next door to Theresa Kallies.
