MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee police officer was shot while investigating a domestic violence related call on the city's south side early Sunday, July 17th -- and neighbors were woken by the commotion.Officers responded to several calls in the neighborhood near 17th and Morgan for two domestic violence related incidents.

Police: Officer dragged by vehicle stolen from dealership in Sturtevant, 4 teens in custody

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say an officer was injured when that officer was dragged by a vehicle stolen from a dealership in Sturtevant early Wednesday morning, July 13th.According to police, around 6:15 p.m., officers observed the stolen vehicle traveling near Lisbon and Burleigh.When they attempted to stop the vehicle, the four occupants fled the vehicle while it was still moving.Officers pursued the two 17-year-old boys and two females, ages 15 and 16 -- and with the help of neighbors, all four were taken into custody.Police say when the suspects fled the stolen car, they left it in drive -- and as the car began to roll in reverse, an officer attempted to stop the vehicle before it could injure citizens in the neighborhood or cause additional property damage.While doing so, he lost his balance and was dragged by the vehicle.The vehicle came to rest when it struck a light pole.The 51-year-old officer received several injuries from the incident.

Police: 14-year-old girl attacked by pit bull; 2 dogs quarantined

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating after they say a 14-year-old girl was attacked by a pit bull.It happened around 7:30 p.m. near 88th and Stark.Police say a group of children was playing outside in the neighborhood when two pit bulls came from a house when the door was opened.The 14-year-old girl was attacked by one of the dogs.The dog’s owner was able to retrieve the dog before the victim received further injuries.The victim was conveyed to a hospital by Milwaukee Fire Department where she is being treated for multiple dog bites over her body.Both dogs were recovered by Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission and are currently being quarantined.The investigation is ongoing.

WEST ALLIS/MILWAUKEE -- Police in West Allis and Milwaukee are investigating separate incidents involving damage to vehicles that happened on Tuesday evening, July 12th and early Wednesday morning, July 13th.West Allis police say alcohol was a factor in an incident involving a driver who crashed into five parked vehicles Tuesday evening in the area near 59th and Lapham.It happened around 6:15 p.m.Police say a vehicle, described as a Mercedes by neighbors, driven by a 29-year-old Milwaukee man crashed into the five parked vehicles -- causing extensive damage to four of the five vehicles."It sounded like a bomb going off.

Police seek suspect after DPW worker cut by co-worker near 35th & Vienna

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say a DPW worker was attacked by a co-worker on Tuesday, July 12th.It happened near 35th and Vienna around 3:30 p.m.Police say a 44-year-old Milwaukee man cut a 31-year-old Milwaukee man during a dispute.Both men work for the City of Milwaukee's Department of Public Works.The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.MPD is actively searching for the known suspect in this case.
