GREEN BAY -- An annual green and gold Labor Day tradition pays tribute to a Green Bay Packers legend.Volunteer painters and fans showed up Monday, Sept. 2 to help unveil the newest original Packers fence slogan.The fence, which faces Lambeau Field on Lombardi Avenue, honors former quarterback Bart Starr, who died earlier this year at the age of 85.When the paint dries, the fence will read, "A Starr Shines - A New Era Dawns."

Packers trade draft pick to New York Giants for LB BJ Goodson

GREEN BAY -- The Green Bay Packers traded an undisclosed draft pick to the New York Giants for LB B.J. Goodson.The transaction was announced Tuesday, Sept. 3 by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.­­­According to a news release from the Packers, Goodson, a 6-foot-1, 242-pound fourth-year player, was originally selected by the Giants in the fourth round (No. 109 overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Clemson.

Son of ex-NFL player accused of murdering parents arrested

LONG PRAIRIE, Minn. — Authorities say the son of a former NFL lineman wanted on murder charges in Minnesota for the shooting of his parents has been arrested in Mexico.The Todd County Sheriff's Office says 22-year-old Dylan John Bennett was arrested at a hotel Saturday in Cancun.Authorities say Bennett had contacted County Sheriff Steve Och earlier in the day to say that he would turn himself in to the FBI.

Green Bay WR J'Mon Moore cited in crash for driving too fast

HOBART, Wis. — Green Bay Packers wide receiver J'Mon Moore has been cited for driving too fast for conditions after he lost control of his car in heavy rainfall and collided with a pickup truck.A police report says Moore was driving in the village of Hobart on Friday when his Mercedes Benz spun out and crossed the grass median on State Highway 29, colliding with the oncoming truck.The 24-year-old Moore wasn't hurt.
