UW System tuition freeze holds for 2022-23

The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents approved on Thursday, June 9 a 2022-23 annual operating budget that maintains a tuition freeze for in-state undergraduates.

Thompson hails fight against virus in farewell as UW leader

Tommy Thompson, the 80-year-old former governor who has spent more than 50 years in public service, said in a farewell address Friday that the University of Wisconsin System has emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic stronger than before he took over as interim president.

UW System enrollment down 1.1% from 2020

University of Wisconsin System enrollment totaled 162,980 students in fall 2021, a drop of 1.1 percent compared to the previous year, according to data released on Thursday, Nov. 4.
