A few morning showers are possible today with a strong round of storms possible this afternoon and evening. Severe storms are possible. Storms will persist overnight into early Friday before calming through the noon hour. Sun returns Friday afternoon and we stay sunny and dry for Saturday. Highs today will be in the mid to upper 80s and feel hotter with higher dew points. We'll stay humid overnight into Friday even though temperatures will fall slightly before warming again this weekend. We expect a cooler less humid stretch early next week.

A hot and humid day to wrap up the month of July. Highs will be in the upper 80s to near 90 and dewpoints will be in the low 70s. There is a slight risk for thunderstorms today but a better chance overnight into Thursday morning and again Thursday afternoon. There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms. We stay hotter than average into the weekend with high dewpoints but should remain dry Saturday with just a slight chance for showers and storms Sunday.
