WAUKESHA -- A convicted sex offender is set for release, and will live in a home near Main Street and Genesee Street in Waukesha.Police said 25-year-old Brock Brumfield sexually assaulted a 13-year-old female acquaintance who was a runaway, and in a separate instance, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old female acquaintance who was a runaway.According to police, Brumfield plays "the nervous game," where he touches and kisses victims "until they tell him that they fell nervous."Brumfield, who is 5'4" tall and weighs 125 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

New Berlin officers praised for saving life of woman trapped in burning car after crash

NEW BERLIN -- Two New Berlin police officers are being hailed heroes for their work saving the life of a woman badly hurt in a crash early Sunday, October 8th.According to a post on the New Berlin Police Department's Facebook page, early Sunday, around 3:00 a.m., Officer Ryan Straus and Officer Kyle Kegley were assigned to drive to the Greendale Police Department to pick up a prisoner.While en route, they came across a crash involving a single vehicle on I-894/I-43 near 84th Street in Greenfield.The vehicle was badly damaged, and the doors wouldn't open.

WAUKESHA -- No charges will be issued after a fatal officer-involved shooting on June 18th in Waukesha, the Waukesha County district attorney announced Thursday, September 7th.Authorities said 64-year-old William Brewster, who was suicidal, was fatally shot by officers when he pointed a gun at them.In announcing his decision that no charges will be filed against the two officers in this case, Waukesha County District Attorney Susan Opper said "the officers were privileged to use deadly force based on their reasonable belief that such force was necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to themselves or others."

BROOKFIELD --  Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation reported early Monday, September 4th a crash involving  a semi and a passenger vehicle closed all lanes of I-94 westbound at Calhoun Road in Brookfield.It happened around 12:30 a.m.When authorities arrived on scene, they found there was complete lane blockage, and one vehicle was slightly under the trailer of the semi.The initial investigation indicates the semi and unloaded trailer were traveling eastbound on I-94, at which point the driver became inattentive.

Waukesha police: Man threatens he'll "shoot clerks" during attempted robbery at Walgreens

WAUKESHA -- A man in his 30s was arrested after Waukesha police say he entered a Walgreens store and demanded Oxycodone pills otherwise he'd "shoot clerks."The incident happened at the Walgreens located at 230 Madison Street on Monday, August 28th around 7:30 p.m.Waukesha police say a white man in his 30s handed an employee who works in the pharmacy a note demanding Oxycodone pills otherwise he'd "shoot clerks." The suspect then showed the employee and object which resembled a handgun.Officials say the man was given a small amount of Oxycodone pills and he took off on foot.Authorities responded to the scene and began searching the area with the assistance of the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit.
